How it works ?
1.
Incoming light travels into the greenhouse and reaches the reflector that splits the light spectrum in two parts.
2.
Light for the Crops
All the light frequencies needed by the crops growth is transmitted through the reflector, and goes into the greenhouse
3.
Light for Energy
The light frequencies not needed by the crops are reflected, and concentrated onto a small solar cell located at the front of the module
4.
Energy Generation
The solar cell efficiently converts the portion of sunlight not needed by the crops into electricity, helping to power the greenhouse while also improving the growing climate by reducing excess heat.

The remaining frequencies are reflected onto the solar cell

Precision and Performance :
The Science Behind Voltiris
High-performance spectral filtering
We co-developed our spectral filter with 3M to optimize both plant growth and energy production. The filter ensures high transmission of the light crops need, while its high reflectivity directs the unused spectrum to our solar cells, enabling excellent PV efficiency without compromising yields.
Low-concentration solar modules
Our spectral filtering mirrors are designed to concentrate reflected sunlight onto small solar cells, allowing us to generate high energy output with minimal shading of the crops. This setup maximizes greenhouse light availability while achieving excellent photovoltaic performance.
Tracking for optimal Energy Production
To optimize energy production, our modules use dual-axis tracking to follow the sun throughout the day, delivering a stable and consistent energy output that’s ideal for self-consumption. Our robust mechanical design has demonstrated exceptional durability, with over 30 years of continuous tracking operation without failure.
Plants love it!
By filtering out the heat radiation, the crops below our spectral filters excel. The plants still ‘see’ the light, but no longer ‘feel’ the heat, resulting in lower plant temperature levels, and therefore higher fruit quality, weight and yield.
