Voltiris installs about 2,000 modules at Domaine des Mattines near Geneva
Six generations of growing in the Geneva countryside
The Blondin family has been growing vegetables in the Geneva countryside since 1814. Today, sixth-generation grower Jérémy Blondin runs Domaine des Mattines in Perly-Certoux, where more than 5 hectares of high-tech greenhouses produce around thirty varieties of tomatoes.
Making the greenhouse more energy independent
For Jérémy, energy is one of the greenhouses’ biggest challenges, both in cost and in dependence on the grid. Always open to new technologies, he saw Voltiris as an opportunity to make the greenhouse more energy independent while keeping the light his crops need.
In 2026, Domaine des Mattines installed about 2,000 Voltiris modules within its existing greenhouse structure. Combined with a battery and an energy management system, the project aims to maximise on-site electricity use and reduce the greenhouse’s reliance on the grid.
For Jérémy, it is another step towards a more sustainable and electrified greenhouse.
