From Estimates to Evidence: Voltiris Monitors Greenhouse Microclimate with Sigrow

Since early 2025, Voltiris has been recording plant temperature measurements under the modules with the help of SiGrow.

Several locations recorded an average leaf temperature drop of -3-5°C on sunny summer days, reaching as much as -7°C during peak hours. This season, we also tested keeping screens open for longer than usual in France and in the Netherlands, letting in more natural light, while better controlling humidity. Interestingly, plant temperatures still remained lower throughout the day –even during the heatwaves - showing that plants can keep on growing better under the modules. This is a detail that would have been easy to miss without precise, continuous monitoring.

This level of insight comes from Sigrow's plant-monitoring cameras, installed across several of our sites. Their data gives us an independent, granular view of how the modules affect the greenhouse microclimate, rather than relying on estimates or occasional manual readings.
