Belgian National News Highlights Voltiris Technology at TomatoMasters

Voltiris recently made Belgian national television.
VRT NWS visited our installation at TomatoMasters in Deinze, Belgium, to showcase how greenhouse growers can generate renewable electricity inside the greenhouse without compromising crop performance. The segment offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how spectral-filtering technology is helping redefine the future of greenhouse horticulture.

Encouraging Results from the Greenhouse
One of the most exciting moments in the VRT NWS segment came from the grower himself. According to the team at TomatoMasters, the tomato plants growing beneath the Voltiris modules appear even healthier.
While pilot projects are designed to validate performance over time, these early observations reinforce the potential of integrating clean energy generation directly into food production systems. The project demonstrates that renewable energy and high-performing greenhouse cultivation do not have to compete; they can work together.
Groentennieuws.nl reported on the pilot's "remarkably positive" first conclusions, highlighting healthy tomato plants beneath the Voltiris system, renewable electricity production exceeding initial expectations, and growing confidence in the potential of spectral-filtering solar technology within commercial greenhouse operations.
These early results provide valuable insights as the industry explores practical pathways toward more sustainable and energy-efficient production. As the pilot progresses, we look forward to sharing further insights and continuing to demonstrate how greenhouse-grown food and clean energy can thrive under the same roof.
